Sustainable Food Places Co-ordinator

Riikka co-ordinates the Glasgow Food Policy Partnership (GFPP) hosted by GCPH and linked to the national Sustainable Food Places network.

Her work includes development of city-wide partnerships in order to promote joint working towards a more sustainable food system in Glasgow. She works as part of the team which developed a holistic 10-year Glasgow City Food Plan launched in June 2021. GFPP oversees the delivery of the plan.

Her previous experience includes work for national healthy eating campaigns, research, hospitality, development of health-related events and conferences and delivery of food education to various groups. Riikka holds an MSc in Nutrition and Post Graduate Certificate in Public Health.
