Sorry We Missed You - film screening
We were delighted to host a film screening of ‘Sorry We Missed You’, followed by a Q&A with the film’s scriptwriter, Paul Laverty.
The screening was held on Friday, 13th March from 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm in the New Auditorium at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, 2 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow G2 3NY.
Directed by Ken Loach, this 2019 film explores the contemporary world of work, the gig economy and the challenges faced by one family trying to cope with the demands of this new way of life.
The themes explored strongly link with our interest in the changing nature of work and poverty and the importance of these factors in shaping, influencing and determining health and wellbeing. The film powerfully portrays the lived reality of precarious employment and the impact at an individual, family, community and societal level.
