Mar 2010

Exploring the impact of selective migration on the deprivation-mortality gap within Greater Glasgow.

This briefing paper summarises findings of a project to assess the impact of population migration on widening health inequalities in the Greater Glasgow & Clyde area.

The research commissioned by the GCPH and undertaken by the University of St Andrews is based on analysis if the Scottish Longitudinal Study and examined the impact of migration on mortality rates (and on the social composition of areas) across the spectrum of deprivation in Glasgow.
