GPs at the Deep End - Connecting with General Practice to Improve Public Health

Jul 2011

This report links two projects - the Primary Care Observatory Project and the Deep End Project. The common aim of these two projects has been to establish a better understanding of the contact and coverage of general practices with the populations they serve and the potential value of these contacts to the NHS in its attempt to improve health and narrow inequalities.

The combined effect of these two work strands has been the establishment of a better basis for engaging with general practices and supporting the contribution they can make to health improvement.
