Poverty Leadership Panel staff attitudes survey report

Aug 2014

Glasgow’s Poverty Leadership Panel (PLP)was established to bring together a range of policy makers and partners to develop an action plan for reducing poverty in Glasgow. GCPH is contributing to the work of the panel across a range of priority areas. One of these is 'Challenging negative attitudes to people living in poverty'. The goals of this workstream are to improve services and ensure that people struggling against poverty are not stigmatised.

GCPH provides support and research expertise to this work through the development of a Glasgow City Council and partners’ staff questionnaire, analysis of findings and production of a report for the PLP.

This report presents the findings of the baseline survey carried out to understand the views and perceptions of staff across the city, who work with people struggling against poverty. These findings will help inform the ongoing work of the PLP in progressing the Action Plan for Change, and will be used specifically to identify information and support needs for staff.
